6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Escape The Crate Beginner I Dog Training - Escape the Crate Session Beginner 1 Dog Training Tuesdays
Please join Alex Esandrio from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member. Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and Bordetella are also recommended.  Proof of Rabies vaccination is required prior to the first class.  No dog will be allowed in class without up-to-date Rabies vaccination.  Equipment required:  Flat buckle collar or front clip harness (no choke, prong or e-collars allowed), 6 foot leash and yummy treats. MAX (4) DOGS ALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND CERTIFICATE OF RABIES MUST BE GIVEN TO THE PARK & RECREATION OFFICE BEFORE THE 1ST CLASS.

Participants will enjoy a combination of energizing music and a fun new cycling experience now offered by Prospect Parks and Recreation.  You are in charge of your workout, push yourself to the limit or ease back and enjoy a ride with your group. This exciting new addition to our program line up is available to all levels of experience.Nelson Abarzua is the instructor for this class.Please register for the days you would like to attend. Either Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. $50 Residents and $65 Non Residents.

Ninjatrix is the newest sport discipline encompassing Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Parkour skills!  Our program was developed by lifelong martial artists, gymnastics coaches and parkour enthusiasts to great a totally news, totally engaging, totally crazy fun sport.  Your kid may just be the next Ninja Warrior!  In each class, our Ninjas will go through all three segments of Ninja Training.Martial ArtsOur Ninjas will begin their path with foundational martial arts skills taught in a fun, safe and challenging environment.  The martial arts skills taught will lay the foundation for a well-rounded Ninja, while building the confidence to take on the next Ninja challenge!GymnasticsEvery Ninja needs gymnastics skills!  Our Ninjas will progress through the Ninja Levels while learning tumbling skills to increase body awareness, physical strength, fitness levels, balance, and coordination skills.  Ninjas will progress through these skills while gaining new-found confidence and having a great time!ParkourParkour is the sport of moving rapidly through an area while negotiating obstacles by running, jumping and climbing.  Our Ninjas will learn parkour techniques to navigate through obstacle courses designed to keep them challenged, smiling and wanting to step up to their next Ninja Level!Our Lil' Ninjas Classes are for ages 4 to 6 years old!  They are designed to entertain, excite and motivate our Lil's while learning foundational skills in all three sports, Martial Arts, Gymnastics and  Parkour.  Your Ninja will fine tune motor skills with our challenging, fun classes while developing that positive Ninja Trait of  "CAN DO."

Women's Self Defense Classes! Learn practical self defense, get in shape, and feel empowered! 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM    Pickleball: Evening Play - Pickle Ball: Evening Play
Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. For Ages 18 and up Parent Child Play is also available.There are only 8 people allowed in the gym at any time using the 2 courts.

Table Tennis is a fun game, and health enhancing lifetime activity but also a mentally challenging international, Olympic Sport where age, size, strength and gender are less important than skills and strategies learned.By matching up compatible players by skill levels, from novice to intermediate and Nationally rated expert players, and providing informal instruction, players will gain skills, especially spin creation to become better players in a fun informal program conducted by former National Collegiate Finalist and State Men's Champion, Coach Dave Strang.Players need not commit or pre-register each playing date but should arrive and pay at the office within 2 hours after the listed starting time.Rackets are available to borrow, or arrangements and advise to buy them during the club meeting.Drop in-Residents $10.00  Non Residents $12.00 to be paid at the recreation office before play.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. For Ages 18 and up Parent Child Play is also available.There are only 8 people allowed in the gym at any time using the 2 courts.

Please join Alex Esandrio from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member. Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and Bordetella are also recommended.  Proof of Rabies vaccination is required prior to the first class.  No dog will be allowed in class without up-to-date Rabies vaccination.  Equipment required:  Flat buckle collar or front clip harness (no choke, prong or e-collars allowed), 6 foot leash and yummy treats. Ninjatrix is the newest sport discipline encompassing Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Parkour skills!  Our program was developed by lifelong martial artists, gymnastics coaches and parkour enthusiasts to great a totally news, totally engaging, totally crazy fun sport.  Your kid may just be the next Ninja Warrior!  In each class, our Ninjas will go through all three segments of Ninja Training.Martial ArtsOur Ninjas will begin their path with foundational martial arts skills taught in a fun, safe and challenging environment.  The martial arts skills taught will lay the foundation for a well-rounded Ninja, while building the confidence to take on the next Ninja challenge!GymnasticsEvery Ninja needs gymnastics skills!  Our Ninjas will progress through the Ninja Levels while learning tumbling skills to increase body awareness, physical strength, fitness levels, balance, and coordination skills.  Ninjas will progress through these skills while gaining new-found confidence and having a great time!ParkourParkour is the sport of moving rapidly through an area while negotiating obstacles by running, jumping and climbing.  Our Ninjas will learn parkour techniques to navigate through obstacle courses designed to keep them challenged, smiling and wanting to step up to their next Ninja Level!Our Jr. Ninja Classes are designed for the 7 to 12 year old Ninja Warrior!  Our Jr. Ninjas learn all the foundational skills that our Lil's learn to create a well-rounded athlete.  All the while expanding their skill set to include all the tricks and tumbling skills that will keep our Jr. Ninja's looking for that next challenge!

CHILDREN'S-MARTIAL ARTS CLASSESStudents will practice fitness and conditioning while learning kicks, strikes, rolls, falls, and basic self-defence in an environment that emphasizes respect, self-control, and teamwork. Skills to be covered will include:Stances/movementKarate (Blocking, striking hands & feet, combination drills)Judo (Rolls, falls and break falling)Blocking systemsBasic personal safety and situational awarenessWe need 5 people to run this class.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. For Ages 18 and up Parent Child Play is also available.There are only 8 people allowed in the gym at any time using the 2 courts.
