Please join Janis Copes, ABCDT from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques. These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more. Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.
Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed. Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and Bordetella are also recommended. Proof of Rabies vaccination is required prior to the first class. No dog will be allowed in class without up-to-date Rabies vaccination.
Equipment required: Flat buckle collar or front clip harness (no choke, prong or e-collars allowed), 6 foot leash and yummy treats.

ALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND CERTIFICATE OF RABIES MUST BE GIVEN TO THE PARK & RECREATION OFFICE BEFORE THE 1ST CLASS.
Cancellation
We had to cancel the 1st class on February 24th due to snow. The new start date will be Tuesday March 3rd to April 7th.
We had to cancel the 2nd class of March 3rd due to ice. The new start date will be Tuesday March 10th to April 14th.
We had to cancel the 1st class on February 25th due to snow. The new start date will be Wednesday March 4th and end on April 8th.
