BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE ACRYLIC ART CLASS

In conjunction with the Senior Center this class will be held at the Community Center in the Art Room.

Steve Parlato is Professor Emeritus of English at Naugatuck Valley Community College, where he teaches Intro to Drawing. He earned a BFA from UConn and a Masters of Arts from Wesleyan. An award – winning novelist and poet, Steve has illustrated book covers and theater posters and has exhibited his artwork throughout CT and in OH. He and his family live in Middlebury.

Adventures in Acrylics: In this 8-week introductory painting class, participants will learn the basics of painting with acrylics. Each 90 minute session will include exercises – color mixing, creating washes, practicing brushstrokes- to create vivid paintings from imagination and observation. Class size is limited to 12 participants.
