The classes led by Reiki Master and Teacher, Carmelita Rifkin, will explain the ancient Japanese healing art of Reiki energy and how you can use it to help reduce stress and promote relaxation, healing and enhance optimum health for yourself and your pet.
Anyone can learn to practice Reiki.
Reiki is given with the hands either on or at a short distance away, and it can be used to help heal illness, injuries, emotional issues, and even help your animal transition between life and death.
The four two hour classes include basic instruction in what Reiki is, history, and principles/ideals of Usui Reiki, and how it’s used for self treatment and the treatment of animals.
You will have the opportunity to learn and practice self treatment , have the knowledge to treat your pet at home, and observe an animal being treated.
Carmelita has taken Reiki courses since 2014. She became an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher in 2016 and Karina and Holy Fire II Reiki Master in 2018. She has taken and received certification in animal Reiki courses and teaches REIKI privately and at OLLI-UCONN. Carmelita has worked with humans, dogs, cat, horses, and birds.
Carmelita V. Rifkin, PT,MS, CLT-LANA has been a physical therapist for over 45 years, owned her own PT practice for over 25 years and still practices part-time. She has taught at Quinnipiac University and also taught continuing education courses nationally.
