Children's Cooking Class
Class 5 – Mini Calzones with Marinara Sauce / Fried Dough
1. Instructor demonstrates making pizza dough using food processor,
enough dough will be made for entire class, must proof to rise
2. Instructor demonstrates and prepares marinara sauce with volunteer
students participating (to be used with baked calzones)
3. Instructor demonstrates and prepares calzone filling with volunteer students
4. participating
5. Instructor demonstrates rolling pizza dough using rolling pin, volunteer students
participate
6. Instructor demonstrates filling and crimping calzones, volunteer students
participate
7. Instructor demonstrates making fried dough, powdered sugar or marinara
to be used to top the fried dough
8. Class to enjoy prepared food and participate in kitchen cleanup

About the Chef
A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America Eric has worked in many areas of the hospitality industry including hotels, catering, private schools, and culinary education. He is a ServSafe certified Food Protection Manager and a certified Foodservice Management Professional through the National Restaurant Association.
